Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga differs from a regular yoga practice in that the emphasis is on complete relaxation. The body is supported in each pose by props. Once the body is comfortable and at ease, each pose is held from 5 to 15 minutes. This enables the healing effects of any given pose to deepen and encourages patterns of stress and tension which are held in the body and mind to gradually dissolve. Sandi modifies each pose to best suit the particular needs of the student. This practice is deeply restful and ultimately rejuvenating. It is suitable for all.

On a therapeutic level, the practice of restorative yoga is essential for those suffering from low energy due to illness.
